They're Ba-ack!!!!
Anson and I had the following conversation in the cities.
A: I really missed you mom.
M: Oh yeah? I missed you too. Who did you miss the most?
A: (with a little smile) I missed all of you the same.
M: Oh okay.
A: Do you know why I said that? It's because I didn't want to hurt anyones feelings. But really, who I missed the most was dad. Is that okay mom? That I missed dad the most?
M: Yes, that's fine.
A: Do you want to know why I missed him the most? Its because he takes me hunting, and fishing and does stuff like that with me.
M: Yeah, I suppose I don't do too much with you, huh?
A: Well I mean...you let me help you make supper....but.....(trails off)
We are so glad to have them back. We started off our first official Monday of summer with chore lists and the day has gone quite smoothly. We are unpacked, and the house is clean and laundry is done. Now we just need the sun out so we can head up to the beach!

Schools Out…
For the summer!!! A week late…but I thought I’d post the pic anyway. Anson is officially done with kindergarten and on to first grade. Some of his thoughts on the matter.
“I am excited about first grade because we don’t get as much free time. We have more work time and learn more. I like learning and doing homework. I am going to miss Miss Beckman though, she was the best teacher ever.”
So proud of our little guy and the hard worker he is. He loves to read and do math and was very excited that his teacher sent home a whole packet of “homework” for the summer.

This is what our house is going to look like this week. Just us….
And her.
After a nice visit from my brother and sister-in-law they loaded up the car and headed back to missouri with the kiddos. Anson and Paige will spend a week at Oma and Papa’s house.
We had a few conversations while they were here about how much Ashley dislikes mini-vans and will never own one.
I’m pretty sure after traveling for 12 hours in a small car with a 5 and 6 year old she’ll be thinking a van sounds pretty sweet. We love being able to put those two in the WAAAYY back on a trip. :)
We know they’ll have fun, but we’re gonna miss them!
