It’s Official!

After a few months of paperwork and training I am officially licensed as a day care provider. I am very excited about having the opportunity to do this and pray that I am used to touch a family’s life for the Lord.

Normally I’m not a terribly organized person, but I decided I better get organized if I’m going to keep my house and spiritual life in line. So I made up a few lists. The first is my cleaning list, if I stick to it my house will be spotless, I’m learning to stick to it. The second is our Saturday chore list with special jobs for each family member. Last two my schedule, bottom two are the kids’ memory verses. We’re still figuring this one out. I miss my blackboard in the kitchen for verses. We are having a hard time remembering to memorize, hopefully this helps.

My daily schedule. Starts at 5 am and is pretty structured. Gives me my times I can clean and what to clean and the times I’m supposed to ignore all and just focus on kids. So far so good, today I’m slacking though.

So, that’s about it. So far I just have Kodiak and a 2 month old Levi (who starts next month). Hoping for 2 more.

Welcome 2011

I have been a horrible blogger, sorry. I feel like I have been so busy just trying to keep up that I haven’t had time to sit and share a few pictures. I didn’t want to just throw something up here, so I was waiting until I had time to spend more than 5 minutes on it.

Every New Year when I hear about peoples resolutions, I smile to myself. I’ve never been a big resolution girl. Maybe because I figure if I want a change bad enough I’ll do it and just stick with it, it doesn’t have to be some January 1st thing that lasts for a couple months. It’s a change in my life. I think another big reason is that although I realize the whole “passing of the old year, and it’s now a fresh new year” mentality, I think, as one whose life has been changed by the gift of salvation, each day is a precious new slate. Each hour, each minute, is a chance to make a change in my life for my Savior. Not just January 1st. Every day.

With those thoughts, here is the last picture of 2010. We were supposed to host a New Years Eve party but Paige woke up with pink eye, so we had a family pizza night around our basement bar. I think it’s becoming a Friday night tradition.

The yummy pizza Jerem and I made together. Usually I do it myself, he pitched in this time, and I swear it tasted better!

We went to bed with the snow blowing and coming down like crazy. The kids enjoyed making new tracks and getting buried.
